Kalastustoimittajamme on saapunut Pattaylle ja tarkoitus on näiden kuukausien aikana kartoittaa Pattayan ja lähialueiden kalastuspaikkoja.

Tulemme vierailemaan sisävesillä pääasiassa, mutta ehkäpä edessä häämöttää myös meriseikkailu. Kukaan ei koskaan tiedä, mitä tutkiva journalisti saa päähänsä.

Mutta aloitetaan Pattaya -sarja maalaismaisemaan sijoitetulta Tight Lines Fishing Park- lammelta (TLFP). Kalastuskeidas 

Alue on kärsinyt, kuten moni muukin palvelu, eräästä kulkutaudista nimeltä korona. Tai sen on annettu vaikuttaa ihmisten toimeentuloon, sillä nythän ajatukset taudista ovatkin muuttuneet huomattavasti.

TLFP on toiminut nyt uuden omistajan toimesta vain lyhyen aikaa, joten aluetta kehitetään parempaan suuntaan. On selvä, että useamman vuoden tyhjäkäynti vehmastuttaa aluetta ja rapistumista tapahtuu. Rakennuksia ja ympäristöä voi aina fiksata, mutta mikä tärkeintä, kalat ovat eläneet lammessa hienosti ja kalastuspäivän aikana saimmekin upeita osumia videolle ja omalle muistikortille.

Lammenvesi on yllättävän kirkasta, näin sameisiin sisävesiin Thaimaassa tottuneen silmiin. Pääsin jopa kuvaamaan Alligator Garin ja Redtailin ruokailua aivan rannan tuntumassa.

Kalat eivät kauhean suuria mörköjä olleet, ne mitkä meidän syötteihin ottivat. Mutta lajikalastajalle paikka antaa upeita osumia. Itsellekin tuli mm. Silver Catfish, Rohu carp ja keihäsrausku (Stingray) uutena listalle. Luitte oikein, keihäsrausku rävähti syöttiin kiinni. Eihän se mikään ruokapöydän kokoinen ollut, mutta hyvää yöpöytäkokoa kuitenkin. Paikanvetäjän mukaan lammessa elää sellainen ruokapöydänkokoinen, joten huh huh vaan.

Hieno kalastuspäivä antoi saaliiksi 24 kalaa ja 6 eri kalalajia. Sanoisin, että paikka on käymisenarvoinen ehdottomasti. Ennakkoluulottomasti vaan keskelle maalaismaisemaa ja syötit veteen.

22.2.2024 Päivitys

Kalastuskohde on uusiutunut melkoisella vauhdilla. Saamani tiedon mukaan lampeen on laitettu 190 kg Arapaima, 100 kg Mekong Giant Catfish sekä 5 isoa Siam Carpia sekä lukuisia muita lajeja. 

Mikäli Thaimaan loma sijoittuu Pattayalle, suosittelen ehdottomasti käyntiä kohteessa. Varaukset vaikkapa täältä Tight Lines Minä olen seuraavan kerran tuolla kalassa 16.4.2024. Tiukkoja siimoja, Tight lines.

Tight Lines Fishing Park Pattaya

Our fishing supplier has arrived in Pattaya and the purpose is to map the fishing spots in Pattaya and the surrounding areas during these months.

We will visit inland waters, but perhaps there is also a sea adventure looming ahead. No one ever knows what an investigative journalist gets into his head.

But let's start the Pattaya series from the Tight Lines Fishing Park- pond set in a rural landscape.

The area has suffered, like many other services, from a communicable disease called covid 19. Or it has affected people's livelihood, because now the ideas about the disease have changed.

TLFP has been operated by the new owner for only a short time, so the area is being developed in a better direction. It is clear that a year's worth of idling is making the area greener and deterioration is taking place. You can always fix the buildings and the environment, but most importantly, the fish have lived in the pond nicely and during the fishing day we got some great hits on video and on our own memory card.

The pond water is surprisingly clear, to the eyes of someone used to the same inland waters in Thailand. I even got to photograph Alligator Gar and Redtail feeding right off the beach.

The fish don't get terribly big morsels, not the ones that took our baits. But for the sport angler, the place gives great hits. I also got e.g. Silver Catfish, Rohu carp and Stingray are new to the list. You read that right, the stingray snarled when the bait was caught. It wasn't a good dining table size, but a good bedside table size nonetheless. According to the local guide, there's something the size of a dining table living in the pond, so huh huh.

A great day's fishing caught 24 fish and 6 different fish species. I would say that the place is definitely worth visiting. Prejudice, but in the middle of a rural landscape and bait in the water.

 22,2,2024 Uptading 

The fishing destination has renewed at a fairly fast pace. According to the information I received, 190 kg of Arapaima, 100 kg of Mekong Giant Catfish and 5 large Siam Carp and numerous other species have been put in the pond.
If your vacation in Thailand takes place in Pattaya, I definitely recommend visiting the destination.  The next time I will be fishing there is April 16, 2024. Tight lines.
