 Kalastusparatiisi Hua Hinissä

Kalastustoimittaja on päässyt Vietnamista kotiutumaan Thaimaahan ja Hua Hin on kotipaikka seuraavan kuukauden. 

Ohjelmassa on tietenkin kalastusta, sillä Hua Hin/Cha Am tarjoaa kalastajille hienoja kohteita päästä väittelemään siimasta mahtikalojen muodossa. 

Tutustuminen aloitetaan Hua Hinin keskustasta 20 minuutin ajomatkan päässä olevasta Greenfiel Walley Fishing Parkista.  https://www.fishinginhuahin.com/Jo nimi enteilee vehreyttä ja sitähän se todellakin on. 

Kaupungin vilistä pääsee upealle keitaalle, jossa kalat aamusta alkaen pistelevät mahtiposauksia vedenpintaan.

Olen vieraillut tässä kohteessa useita kertoja aikaa ennen koronaa. Jo silloin ihastuin paikkaan ja sen ystävällisiin oppaisiin ja henkilökuntaan. 

Nyt kun saavuimme lammelle, niin yllätys oli melkoinen. Ravintola on uusittu ja koko ympäristö huokui rauhallisuutta ja kauneutta. Ulkoasuun on selvästi kiinnitetty huomiota. Näin täytyy paikka rakentaa. 

Tiesin lammessa elävän isoja ja vieläkin isompia kaloja. Joten odotukset olivat korkealla, kun ensimmäisen syöttipallon nakkasin veteen. 

Jokaisessa kalastuskohteessa pyrin osallistumaan kalastukseen täysivaltaisesti. En jää odottamaan tuoliin, että mitä opas tekee. Kokemusta on näiden vuosikymmenten aikana kertynyt sen verran paljon, että jotain on jäänyt selkäytimeen.

Siispä kun sain kaksi syöttiä, toisen petokaloille ja toisen karppikaloille, suuntasin ajatukseni pois maallisesta ja uppoudun kalastuksen vauhtiin. Moni väheksyy Thaimaan kalastusta, kun se tapahtuu näillä sisävesillä. Minusta tuollainen kalastus on todella upeaa ja kalastuspäivä menee hienommin kun olutta juodessa ja sohvalla makaillessa. Ajanvietteeksi nämä kohteet on tarkoitettu, kalastajien huvipuistoja ja yökerhoja, kävelykatuja ja ostoshelvettejä. 

Kovin kauan ei tarvinnut tuolissa istua, kun kela surahti ja vastaiskun jälkeen sain Sawai cathishin kepitettyä. 

Sitten vuorossa oli Siam carppeja useita, ja vielä listalle löytyi pari Pacua. Mutta sitä himoittua Arapaimaan en ensimmäisellä reissulla saanut. Ehkä toinen yritys vielä suodaan ja sitten pääsen tätä sisävesien Graalinmaljaa jälleen uittamaan. 

Kyllähän se yritys sitten palkittiin ja tämä upea eväkäs sieltä ropsahti lopulta kuviin. Videota tulee kyllä tämänkin väännöstä aivan varmasti. Arapaima

Fishing paradise in Hua Hin

Your travelling fishing reporter has settled in Thailand from Vietnam, and Hua Hin will be the place of residence for the next month.

Of course, there will be fishing on the agenda, because Hua Hin/Cha Am offers fishermen great destinations to get into battles with the mighty fish.

The tour begins at Greenfield Valley Fishing Park, a 20-minute drive from the center of Hua Hin. Even the name suggests greenery, and that's what it really is.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can reach a wonderful oasis, where fish sting the surface of the water from the early hours to the evening.

I have visited this place several times before covid-pandemia. Even then I fell in love with the place and its friendly guides and staff.

Now, when we arrived at the pond, it was quite a surprise. The restaurant has been stylishly renovated and the whole environment oozed tranquility and beauty. Attention has clearly been paid to the appearance. This is how a place must be built.

I knew there are big, and even bigger, fish living in the pond. So, expectations were high when I threw the first bait ball into the water.

At every fishing destination, I try to fully participate in fishing. I don't just stay put in the chair waiting to see what the guide will do. During these decades, so much experience has been accumulated that something has remained in the spinal cord.I like to be active.

So when I got two baits, one for predatory fish and one for carp, I turned my thoughts away from the worldly affairs and immersed myself in the world of fishing. Many people look down on Thai fishing when it takes place in these inland waters. I think that kind of fishing is brilliant and a fishing day by the pond beats drinking beer and lying on sunbed by the swimming pool anytime. These destinations are fishermen`s best pastime, their amusement parks and night clubs, pedestrian streets and shopping malls.

I didn't have to sit in the chair for a long time when the reel whined and after a backlash I got the Sawai cathish caned.

Then there were several Siam carps, and a couple of Pacus were still on the list. But this time I failed to get that Arapaima like on my first trip. Maybe another attempt will pass and then I will be able to swim this Grail of inland waters again. After all, we were awarded and this wonderful finner from there snapped it up in the pictures. All in all, the day of fishing was a wonderful experience and the delicious lunch kept us going until the evening. Thanks to the staff, guides and fellow fishermen for a great day. We will meet again.
