Thaimaa on maa, jossa sisävesikalastuksen voimin on mahdollista saada siimanpäähän suuri kala tai jopa erittäin suuri kala. 

Yksi tavoitelluimmista erittäin suurista kaloista on Arapaima, alkuperäisin Amazonilta siirtoistutettu petokala Thaimaan sisävesiin.

Kala-Harrin juttusarjassa olemme saaneet jo useita Arapaimoja, mutta Bangkokin lähistöllä on lampi, mikä on erikoistunut Arapaima -kalastukseen. 

Vuoden 2023 huhtikuussa vierailin kohteessa ensimmäisen kerran kaverini Risto Kuivaniemen kanssa. Tuolloin saimme käytettyä valokuvissa yhteensä 9 Arapaimaa, joten suurin odotuksin käväisin helmikuun loppupuolella Arapaima Fishing Park -lammella kalassa. 

Aivan yhdeksään kalaan en päässyt, mutta noin 45 kg ja 90 kg Arapaimat sain väsyttää ja lisäksi vapaa taivutteli kookas Redtail Catfish. Siinä oli vielä jännitystä, sillä kala nappasi UL vapaan ja kuten videosta tulette näkemään. kala vei ja Hartsa vikisi. 

Lammessa on noin 60 - 70 Arapaimaa ja suurimmat lähentelevät 200 kg.

Thailand is a country where with the power of inland fishing it is possible to catch a big fish or even a very big fish.

One of the most sought after very large fish is the Arapaima, the original predatory fish transplanted from the Amazon to the inland waters of Thailand.

In Kala-Harri's story series, we have already caught several Arapaima, but there is a pond near Bangkok that specializes in Arapaima fishing.

In April 2023, I visited the destination for the first time with my friend Risto Kuivaniemi. At that time, we were able to use a total of 9 Arapaima in the photos, so I was looking forward to fishing at the Arapaima Fishing Park pond at the end of February.

I didn't get to exactly nine fish, but I managed to tire Arapaimas around 45 kg and 90 kg, and in addition, a large Redtail Catfish was lured free. There was still excitement, because the fish caught UL free and as you will see in the video. the fish twisted and Hartsa winked.

There are about 60 to 70 Arapaima in the pond, and the biggest ones weigh around 200 kg.
